First on our list is this dreamy cabin in Estes Park that has just gotten a glow-up from its late 1800s origins. It delivers a unique blend of historical charm and modern convenience, making it a standout choice for those chasing the Colorado dream. Here, the essence of mountain living is distilled into 540 square feet of thoughtful amenities, including a kitchen ready to channel your inner Masterchef, a bedroom that features majestic vistas of Lumpy Ridge awakening you at dawn, and an electric fireplace that adds a touch of ambiance without the fuss.

But the real deal here is the hot tub. Positioned for privacy yet open to mesmerizing mountain views, it’s the ultimate spot to decompress after a day of exploration.

For the socially savvy, this place checks all the boxes. Snap those mountain-view hot tub moments or cozy fireplace scenes that’ll make your feed pop. Beyond Insta-worthy spots, it’s about making those mountain memories stick.

And let’s not overlook the connectivity with the community. The owner, embedded in the fabric of Estes Park, offers an insider’s guide to making the most of your stay. Whether you’re here to hit the trails, find zen in yoga, or just soak up the local culture, this cabin is more than just a stay—it’s a deep dive into mountain life.

From the owner:

Soothe your soul in a hot tub above downtown while staring into Rocky Mountain National Park after a long day of hiking (STR#3126)! You’ll love my historic cabin, built in the late 1800s but modernized for your comfort. Cozy 540 square feet provide great views, a full kitchen & bathroom, electric fireplace, inviting warm bedroom, and a deck overlooking Lumpy Ridge.

  • Walk to downtown and the Stanley Hotel
  • 8 minute drive to the park

A perfect base for up to 4 people for a mountain getaway!

Real quick — some house rules:

No early check in or late checkouts. Check in is 4pm or later; check out is 10am or earlier. No smoking inside or out; no fire pits; no parties; no pets. 2 cars & 4 guests max. Guests must start dishwasher and a laundry load of towels/hand towels/washcloths at checkout (we have negotiated a lower cleaning fee based on this). Accurate guest count is mandatory and the platform will not otherwise generate a correct price for your date. AWD, snow tires or 4WD recommended from October to May. Hot tub open year round. Also no cable — bring your own streaming accounts for the smart TV.

Onward!

My cabin rests on a hillside above downtown in a small neighborhood of other historic cabins. This was one of the original neighborhoods when people first settled in the Estes Valley. The place predates most other buildings in the area, but it’s been lovingly cared for and is in great shape.

I love being able to walk to town from here, but still come home afterward and sit in the hot tub. Afterwards, I enjoy lounging on the sofa and just relaxing in front of the fireplace.

There are other cabins close by, so if you are looking for total seclusion this isn’t your best bet — but there aren’t many vacation rentals out there offering the great combination of views, a hot tub, fireplace, deck, full kitchen, and the ability to walk to town.

The home was completely remodeled in 2022 and every single surface inside and and out was redone with a cool modern aesthetic. The hallmark deck and connected patio offer a fire pit, hot tub, and lots of outdoor living and dining area — all with incredible views.
