Welcome to our beach cottage for the ‘Ultimate Pacific Coast Surf Experience’. Perched atop a cliff overlooking the Pacific approximately 4 miles north of Bodega Bay. The photo’s will depict views from the actual property and the beautiful coastal inspired interior. You will have stairs down to a sheltered, secluded beach.

The beach cottage is built on the bluff over looking a spectacular show of nature at her best. The property has private stairs down to a sheltered, secluded beach. You can have beach fun and family time exploring tide pools or a romantic, quiet picnic…Just the two of you and the ocean.

The design and construction team have kept the integrity of the seaside property with it’s spiral staircase up to the loft, raked ceiling and coastal decor enhancing the beach house ambiance. Comforting neutrals, warm whites and current pops of fun color punctuate the decor. Driftwood effect ceramic floors, quartz counter tops and nautical theme accessories carry the beach cottage essence throughout.

There’s so much to love about the Seamist cottage. The views are absolutely stunning. We spent many happy hours sitting in the hot tub, watching the surf and mist roll in. We also really appreciated the complimentary snacks and wine and how clean the cottage was on arrival.

Another nice surprise was the record player with a bunch of old records–our teen was fascinated. Blanca, who is the main point of contact during your stay, was lovely and a joy to work with. A few things to note as you’re deciding whether this is the right place for you: – As others have mentioned, there is a large construction project across the street which is due to end some time in 2023.

The noise often woke us up at 6 AM, but I always travel with earplugs and everyone was able to fall back asleep so it wasn’t much of an issue for us. – The staircase to the loft is very narrow. It wasn’t easy getting getting up or down, esp for my tall teen. That area is probably best suited for a kid between the ages of 8 – 14, and preferably on the shorter side. Make sure you don’t need to take a lot of luggage up there. –

The queen bed is very soft (memory foam I think?) and we actually ended up leaving a day early because it was hurting my back. However, this is highly personal. My husband found it okay.

Overall, the views and beach access are hard to match (especially with the location of the hot tub, I mean, wow!). If the above aren’t issues for you, then I predict you’ll very much enjoy your stay here. I think it would be especially nice for romantic getaway for a couple.
